At Whole-Self Synergy Counseling, I believe that each person exists in a constant state of synergy
— within themselves and in connection with the greater whole (i.e. nature, culture, work,
community). When one-part feels disconnected, the entire self can feel out of balance. My work
focuses on restoring that natural integration so healing can occur.
By taking an integrative approach, I recognize that mental health does not exist in isolation. Our
thoughts, emotions, past experiences, physical states, relationships, culture, and/or spiritual
beliefs and aspirations are deeply interconnected. At times, disconnection can serve as a
protective survival strategy but it may leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or incomplete.
Healing occurs when we can integrate all parts of who we are.
I believe therapy is a space where you can slow down and feel truly seen and understood. Our
work together is collaborative and shaped by your unique experiences. I take a trauma-sensitive
approach, honoring how your past has shaped you while helping you discover that it does not
have to define or limit your life. I integrate principles of mindfulness and positive psychology to
help you build awareness and recognize your strengths to build on your natural capacity for
growth and healing. I also incorporate somatic techniques, recognizing that our bodies often
carry experiences and emotions that words alone cannot fully express. My intention is to create a
compassionate, supportive space where you can explore challenges, deepen your
self-understanding, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and connection to
yourself.
As a Colombian professional living in the United States for many years, I have developed a deep
appreciation for diverse perspectives, identities, and lived experiences. This journey has enriched
my life and strengthened my ability to connect meaningfully with people from different
backgrounds. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and welcome clients who feel most
comfortable expressing themselves in Spanish. My goal is to provide a culturally responsive,
affirming space where your experiences are understood, valued, and respected.
My years of experience as a school psychologist has given me extensive knowledge in
supporting children, adolescents, and families — particularly those impacted by disabilities. I
can help clients navigate complex school systems, advocate effectively, and feel empowered in
educational planning and decision-making. I also support individuals experiencing anxiety,
depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, learning differences, caregiver stress, and major life
transitions. You do not have to navigate this alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as
you expand your connection to your inner strengths and your place within the larger whole.
